Roodepoort Cultural History Museum

The primary focus of the impressive displays at this museum is the discovery of gold in the Roodepoort area. There is also a full-size pioneer’s house, a Victorian house as well as various rooms depicting specific periods of the past century. The museum is housed in the Civic Centre and is easy to find. Guided tours - on the gold train - take place between Tuesday and Friday as well as Sunday afternoons. Snacks are available. Phone for starting times as these vary.
